BOOK SIGNING EVENT FOR WILLIAMSON COUNTY ANTHOLOGY

(Franklin TN, October 22, 2009) – Cool Springs Barnes & Noble will host an Author Event for Gathering: Writers of Williamson County. An eclectic anthology, the book features 31 authors—Williamson County Council for the Written Word (CWW) members and Hall of Fame award winners—some published for the first time and some famously published, such as Madison Smartt Bell, Tom T. Hall, Robert Hicks, and Paula Wall.

Written and edited primarily by Williamson County writers, the book is also published by CPO Publishing of Franklin, a Roger Waynick Book Group company. Gathering is uniquely “us” and offers a little bit of something for everyone.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Cool Springs Barnes & Noble store in Franklin, TN. The public is invited. CWW hopes to set a new store record for the largest number of authors present for a single book.

A portion of proceeds from book sales at this event will directly benefit CWW.

Want to share a nice surprise with fellow Williamson County Writers! Just got a message from a distant cousin of mine in south Texas whom I’ve never actually met. She had seen my Facebook blurb about our book, looked it up on Amazon and ordered it! Said she really enjoyed it and will share with friends. I told her it was nice to know it was good since I had not read it yet myself! Our fame spreads!

Welcome! This site promotes and discusses our first publication, Gathering: Writers of Williamson County. It’s brand new anthology from Southern writers rooted in Tennessee. I’ll follow with more content over the coming days.

Based in Franklin, TN, the Williamson County Council for the Written Word (CWW) is a nonprofit organization promoting the art of writing and its rich history in Williamson County, TN. Proceeds from direct sale of our anthology go to support CWW. Proceeds from online sales feed the machine (for which we are thankful…the book wouldn’t be here without the machine).
